Elephant Tracking

Guests embark on an early morning journey with a guide and tracker to the neighbouring farms, embarking on a quest to encounter the elephants that freely roam the conservancy. These elephants are not a distinct African elephant species but due to their modest diet, and may appear leaner and taller compared to their counterparts in regions with more abundant vegetation. They also possess larger feet for navigating the sandier terrain more easily.

A picnic lunch is provided in the refreshing shade of a Shepherd tree. Anticipate returning to the lodge early in the afternoon, enriched by the unparalleled splendour of Damaraland and the possibility of witnessing one of Namibia's Big Five.

Please bear in mind that sightings of these elephants cannot be guaranteed.

Duration: Half-day, return expected around 15:00.
